This bold ETH accumulation strategy aligns SharpLink with the growing trend of corporations integrating crypto assets into their balance sheets, mirroring the strategy pioneered by companies like Strategy and MicroStrategy in the Bitcoin ecosystem. However, SharpLink’s focus on Ethereum sets it apart, signaling strong confidence in Ethereum’s central role in decentralized finance (DeFi).
Since launching its Ethereum-focused treasury strategy on June 2, 2025, the company has not only acquired a substantial ETH reserve but also earned 929 ETH in staking rewards, adding passive yield to its digital asset portfolio.
Co-CEO Joseph Chalom emphasized the firm’s long-term vision, saying, “SharpLink remains deeply committed to its mission of creating enduring shareholder value by building the largest and most trusted ETH treasury company.” The company is now actively exploring new capital formation opportunities to expand its ETH holdings even further.
To provide transparency, SharpLink introduced a new metric—ETH Concentration—which currently stands at 3.66, measuring ETH held per 1,000 assumed diluted shares. This metric directly connects Ethereum holdings to shareholder value.
Joe Lubin, Ethereum co-founder and CEO of Consensys, currently serves as SharpLink’s Chairman following a $425 million private placement led by Consensys in May.
At the time of reporting, SharpLink (SBET) was trading down 3% at $18.59, as per The Block’s SBET price data.
