MetaMask Partners with Consensys, Bridge, and Stripe
Developed by Consensys, the company behind MetaMask, the launch of mUSD highlights the wallet’s expanding role in DeFi adoption. Gal Eldar, Product Lead at MetaMask, emphasized the importance of this step:
“MetaMask USD is a critical step in bringing the world on-chain. With MetaMask USD, users can bring their money on-chain, put it to work, spend it almost anywhere, and use it like money should be used. We’re not just bringing people on-chain. We’re building the reason they’ll never want to leave.”
The stablecoin will not only power DeFi protocols but also integrate into payment systems, with planned acceptance through the MetaMask Card at Mastercard merchants. This move bridges the gap between crypto and traditional finance, offering users real-world usability for digital assets.
