The price of bitcoin recently broke the $ 60,000 per unit mark on October 15, and the main crypto asset has not seen such high prices since mid-April six months ago. However, when it comes to major digital assets, in terms of market capitalization, things are very different. For example, ether tokens are worth much more than six months ago, and binance coin values were higher then than they are today.
Six Months Later, As Bitcoin Comes Back To $ 60,000, Some Crypto Coins Are Trading For More Value, While Others Are Trading For Less
On April 11, 2021, historical snapshot data statistics from coinmarketcap.com show that on that day bitcoin (BTC) traded hands for $ 60,204 per unit. BTC also hit an all-time high three days later, on April 14, 2021, at $ 64,804 per coin that week. Historical snapshot data shows Ethereum (ETH) was trading at $ 2,157 per coin on April 11 and today a single Ether is trading for $ 3,761 per coin.
Statistics from six months ago show that Binance Currency (BNB) was in third place six months ago and at the time each BNB was trading for $ 525. The prices are a little lower than they were then and BNB lost the third position in favor of cardano (ADA) for a few months. Today, measurements show BNB is trading for $ 480 per coin, 9.375% lower than six months ago. At that time, XRP was in fourth position in terms of market capitalization, but today XRP has slipped to sixth position.
Stablecoin tether (USDT) was in fifth place at the time, now it is in fourth place. Like Ethereum (ETH), cardano (ADA) is another coin that was trading at lower prices on April 11. Back then ADA was trading hands for $ 1.27 per coin and on October 18 ADA was trading at $ 2.12 per unit. Polkadot (DOT) was in seventh position for $ 41.42 per DOT six months ago, today DOT is trading a little lower at $ 40.76 and is in eighth position.
Litecoin, Uniswap and Chainlink eliminated from top 10 – Theta, Filecoin, Tron, Vechain come out of the Top 20
Litecoin (LTC), uniswap (UNI) and chain link (LINK) respectively occupied the bottom three positions in the top ten. But none of these coins are in the top ten anymore and UNI is the closest today. Positioned at 14 today, UNI is trading at $ 25.39, but on April 11 the token changed hands to $ 29.98. LTC held the eighth highest market valuation six months ago, but today it has slipped to 16th. LTC traded hands for $ 253.63 and today it is much lower at $ 185.22.
Chainlink (LINK) was trading hands for $ 33.92 per LINK at the time, but on October 18 the price was around $ 25.59. LINK at the time held tenth place and now occupies 18th position. Missing from the first 20 coins that were seen on the list at the time, there are tokens like theta (THETA) filecoin (FIL), tron (TRON) and vechain (VET). A notable gain is solana (SOL) which has moved from 20th position to seventh place in the crypto economy in terms of valuation.
