RWA Market is designed to bridge the gap between real world assets and blockchains as a technical basis for trading
- Real world asset market is launched, USDC depositors welcome
- TradFi has never been so close to DeFi
A new product will allow Centrifuge and Aave Finance users to trade real-world assets using cryptocurrency tokens. His instruments will change the narrative by taking advantage of DeFi primitives in “classic” businesses.
Real world asset market is launched, USDC depositors welcome
According to the official announcement shared by the new Real World Asset (RWA) Market project, its ecosystem has been uploaded to the Centrifuge platform and the Aave Finance DeFi protocol.

With this release, markets can be created on Aave Finance (AAVE) to allow cryptocurrency holders to borrow multiple assets using their stablecoins – starting with the USD Coin (USDC) as collateral.
In addition, the new protocol allows companies to tokenize real estate, freight invoices, wire transfers as well as initiate branded inventory finance and revenue-based finance programs.
In terms of “yield farming,” this release allows crypto enthusiasts to receive LP rewards for stable, uncorrelated real-world collateral.
Stani Kulechov, Founder and CEO of Aave, is excited about the opportunities this partnership opens up for the entire Web3.0 segment and crypto adoption:
The RWA market is changing the landscape of what is possible not only for protocols like Aave, but across DeFi as a whole. Creating various entry points into DeFi, making it more accessible, is a driving force behind the vision for the Aave companies, and we are excited to see Centrifuge take this further with real-world asset collateral.
TradFi has never been so close to DeFi
Lucas Vogelsang, CEO of Centrifuge, is sure that in addition to being revolutionary and capital efficient, the RWA protocol can easily evolve step by step:
The RWA Marketplace connects the regulated world of TradFi with the trustless world of DeFi. Building an infrastructure to securely integrate RWA that can scale has been exciting and we are proud to see this work pay off.
As covered by U.Today previously, as of May 2021, Centrifuge has allowed users to collateralize real-world assets in order to earn Maker Tokens (MKRs).
Simply put, the new version allows traders to build uncorrelated, flexible and stable portfolios to protect their gains from the volatility of the stock and crypto markets.
